MoveShield helps users create structured rental property condition records, including move-in and move-out inspections, checklist items, notes, photos, and PDF reports. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, plan or entitlement status, and support-related account information.
- Property and inspection data: property nicknames, addresses, rooms or areas, checklist items, conditions, notes, timestamps, and generated report data.
- Uploaded photos and evidence: evidence photos attached to checklist items, file metadata, and storage records needed to display thumbnails and reports.
- Feedback submissions: message text, rating, category, app version, platform, and contact information if you provide it.
- Technical data: basic logs and request metadata needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve MoveShield.
How we use information
We use your information to provide the MoveShield app, authenticate users, enforce plan limits, store evidence, generate reports, respond to support requests, improve product quality, and protect the service from misuse.
Authentication
MoveShield uses Supabase authentication for account sign-up, login, session management, and access tokens. The MoveShield API verifies authenticated sessions before returning or modifying user data.
Storage and infrastructure
MoveShield uses backend infrastructure hosted on AWS/EC2 and stores app data in a database. Uploaded evidence photos may be stored in AWS S3 or temporary server-side storage, depending on the deployment environment. S3 evidence objects are private and served only after backend authorization checks.
Address autocomplete
If address autocomplete is enabled, MoveShield may use Geoapify to return address suggestions. Address text typed into the address field may be sent to Geoapify for suggestions. You can also enter addresses manually.
Data retention
Completed evidence reports and associated photos are retained for up to 7 years unless you request deletion earlier, subject to legal, security, dispute, or abuse-prevention needs. Deleted account data may take a reasonable period to be removed from backups or logs.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate MoveShield, such as authentication, hosting, storage, database, analytics, email, or address-autocomplete providers. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the service, or others.
Your choices
You can request account or data deletion by following the instructions on the Delete account page. You may contact us to ask privacy questions or request help with your MoveShield account.
